〔記者楊伶雯／台北報導〕統計2001年來近12年的520前後行情發現，520前及當天都是下跌居多，且從2010-2012年連續3年都沒有出現所謂的520行情，近3年從520前1周、當天、後1周都是下跌；但是，今年，趕在520前釋出證所稅修訂消息，擬取消8500點的天險，加上國際股市一片大好，台股指數已連續5周收紅，一掃以往的陰霾，今年520魔咒能不能打破？法人偏向樂觀，但還是得看政策牛肉的發酵及投資人信心是否恢復。
