紀錄片裡，李國修對於蘭陵劇坊的團員，有著強烈相信的信念，「荷珠新配」就是他參與演出的一部戲，李國修在劇裡，飾演男主角，在台上與其他演員，你來我往，台上台下，笑成一片，盡情發揮演技，搞笑演出，李國修在台上，展現自己的「戲胞」，逐漸從每個角色，扮演經歷中，發掘不同的自己。
