【綜合報導】目前步步逼近台灣的潭美颱風(Trami)，這兩天橫掃菲律賓，菲國受到西南季風以及「潭美」影響暴雨成災，最少已造成3人死亡、3人失蹤。首都馬尼拉一度發出最高級別的紅色暴雨警告，在每小時30公厘雨量下，全市多處淹水，部分地區積水到頸部，幾乎沒頂。

各處道路交通癱瘓，政府部門、證券交易所關閉，學校停課。呂宋島多個水庫都已接近安全水位，需要開閘洩洪，下游幾千名居民都已緊急疏散。鄰近首都馬尼拉的十個省份同樣暴雨成災，至少發生6起土石流，北部一個山城有29名遊客因為山洪暴發一度受困。
