為帶動艋舺商圈的服飾產業，台北市商業處在艋舺商圈，舉辦「自由設計師」甄選活動。報名時間從即日起到七月十五號，入選的設計師，可以在商圈「種子店家」，擁有自己的陳列櫥櫃，展售設計作品。九月底還將舉辦走秀活動，提高曝光度。

〔社會中心／台中報導〕今(2)天凌晨在台中市發生一起潑油縱火燒人意外，40多歲的朱姓女子疑似因為金錢糾紛，與男友55歲姚姓管理員談不攏，朱女購買汽油後朝姚男潑灑並點火，造成姚男嚴重燒傷，意識昏迷。

〔記者彭夢竺／綜合報導〕大學指考第2天，最後一堂考數學甲，台北市補教協會表示，數甲陷阱多、計算量大，估計頂標將降8分，均標則可能降14分。高中教師團隊也表示，數甲難易度適中，不過非選擇題有證明題，相較去年較不容易拿分，預估平均下降。
