〔國際中心／綜合報導〕過去中學時地球科學的課本曾教過我們，太陽系中有九大行星，但之後冥王星被降級，因此改稱為八大行星。水星是太陽系八大行星中最內側的一顆，同時也是最小的，由於距離太陽太近，平日觀測不易，但科學家在15日的一場研討會中，首度展示水星的畫面，色彩絢爛奪目。這是探測船「信使號」(Messenger)歷經1年拍攝所集結而成。
