〔記者王鼎鈞／台北報導〕未來事件交易所6日發布「2014台中市市長候選人」預測指出，現任市長胡志強代表國民黨參選連任機率較高，民進黨則可能派出立委林佳龍應戰。由於廖了以請辭亞東關係協會會長，交易所也將把他納進調查。
