〔記者朱凱弘／綜合報導〕儘管遭指使用「口水球」事件引發口水戰，紅襪投手Clay Buchholz仍絲毫不受到影響，12日對上藍鳥隊的比賽中，繳出優質先發的表現，可惜球隊打線火力未能適時給予支援，紅襪最終是以2比3敗給藍鳥，系列賽取得1勝1敗的戰績。
