「基地」(al-Qaeda)組織前領袖、前全球頭號恐怖份子賓拉登(Osama bin Laden)生前的保鑣爆料：賓拉登並不是被美國海豹特種部隊(SEALs)射殺，而是自己引爆身上的炸彈自殺而死。

賓拉登的前保鑣法塔(Nabeel Naeem Abdul Fattah)，接受阿拉伯《海灣新聞》訪問，坦承賓拉登死時他不在現場，是賓拉登的親人親口告訴他。當時美軍攻入賓拉登匿藏的別墅，殺死2名保鑣後，先槍傷賓拉登的大腿，賓拉登隨後就引爆了綑在腰上的炸藥自殺。

法塔指出，賓拉登被通緝的10年間，一直在腰上纏著炸藥，準備隨時自殺，避免落入美軍之手。他質疑美軍將賓拉登海葬的說法，因為當時賓拉登已炸成粉碎，根本不可能確認身份。

2011年5月，美軍海豹部隊闖入賓拉登在巴基斯坦的住所，將這名策動911恐怖攻擊的主嫌射殺。
