王建民決定不動用「逃脫條款」續留洋基後，今對光芒3A杜罕公生先發，投7局無失分，僅被擊出6支零星安打，另有2次三振和1次四壞保送，退場時史寬頓鐵道騎士以9比0遙遙領先，終場9比1獲勝，建仔最後也拿下勝投，第4勝入袋，他的防禦率也由原本的2.65降至2.33。

建仔今天球的尾勁不錯，最快球速92哩(約148公里)左右，快速球的均速都在89~91哩上下，且用球精簡，7局只投83球，其中57好球，尤其6局下他只用5球就解決3名打者。
