尼泊爾男子服用草藥 中毒不治

香港一名40歲尼泊爾籍男子，胃痛長達2年，沒有求助醫生，上週二自行服用一種名為「拜赫邁」(Bikhama)尼泊爾草藥後，開始頭痛暈眩，被送往屯門醫院治療不治，屯門醫院管理局化驗他的尿液和草藥樣本，發現含多種有毒的烏頭類生物鹼，包括「殷烏頭鹼」和「偽烏頭鹼」，證實病人為烏頭類生物鹼中毒。 烏頭鹼類藥材包括草烏、製川烏和製附子等，常用作消炎、止痛和強心，服用純的烏頭鹼，0.2毫克就會中毒，3到5毫克可致死，一般來說，內服的話，應該先經煎煮，如果不當使用，烏頭類生物鹼可導致口部和四肢麻痺、噁心、嘔吐及四肢無力等不適症狀，嚴重者更會引發呼吸因難和心律不整。
