〔記者黃志政／台中報導〕台中市鐵路高架化預計在104底年完工，有議員建議新臺中火車站完工，火車站周邊應同步配合整體建設，希望市府及中央相關單位成立「臺中火車站聯合開發基金」，將干城地區國有財產及火車站周邊土地一併交由市府做整體開發，但市長胡志強表示，他也與議員同樣的意見，但內政部不同意。
