〔記者林重鎣／台中報導〕102年度臺中市議長盃象棋錦標賽於15日假太平區公所大禮堂舉行，在簡單的掛帥禮後，由國手彭柔安及同段（5段）高手羅祥祐進行盲棋表演，臺中市象棋協會理事長，也是象棋4段高手的議員劉錦和，亦出馬參賽拼晉段，其表示象棋已列入亞運正式項目之一，希望能多培育人才，發揚國粹。
