〔地方中心／台北報導〕刑事妥速審判法規定，重大刑案判決前，羈押期限不可超過八年。民間團體認為八年期限仍太長，應該遵照國際人權專家的結論性意見修法縮短，司法院竟以「才剛修過不久而有困難」作為回應，總統府人權諮詢委員會委員李念祖痛批司法院，「竟把法案的尊嚴看得比人權還要重要！」
