〔記者郭政隆／嘉義報導〕嘉義市興安派出所接獲民眾報案指稱，其友人於電話中告知因心情不佳欲服藥自盡，警方於是迅速趕往現場後卻發現，電話中指稱婦人死意堅決，並已備有木炭，唯發現婦人家中有諸多佛教擺設，因此得知婦人篤信宗教，警方乃以佛教道義開導，婦人這時才打消輕生念頭，讓警方鬆一口氣。
