IMF世銀：美債違約有毀滅性後果

【陳家齊／綜合外電報導】世界銀行總裁金墉周日警告，若美國國會無法在周四（17日）前提高債限，恐將導致升息、全球經濟成長放緩、企業信心下跌等後果，將對窮國造成「災難性的影響」。國際貨幣基金（IMF）主席拉加德（Christine Lagarde）也警告，若美國無法提高舉債上限並重啟政府營運，恐像2008年金融危機「讓全球經濟陷入衰退」。 美國政府從本月1日關門至今已經2周，周四前若無法調高舉債上限，將面臨新的債務違約危機。聯邦參議院昨特地在周日加班開會，討論調高美政府舉債上限和重啟政府營運，但參院多數黨民主黨領袖瑞德和少數黨共和黨領袖麥康奈，前天的初步協商依舊未達共識。 共和黨眾議員周六提議延長美國債限6周，但這樣一來美國將在聖誕購物季再度陷入債務違約陰影，已被總統歐巴馬否決，堅持要共和黨無條件提高舉債上限並重啟政府營運，才要跟共和黨談健保、預算等議題。
