〔記者郭政隆／嘉義報導〕有感於現代人多肉、少菜不均衡的飲食習慣，茹素多年並推廣蔬食運動不遺餘力的南華大學校長林聰明，近年來時常受邀至各機關及學校演講；南華大學通識中心特別邀請林校長以「永續環境與心靈環保」為題，與師生分享蔬食對健康、節能減碳的重要性，同時鼓勵學子「少吃肉、多蔬食、多運動」，一同愛護地球。
