〔VR-Zone／fantasytrees（跳跳虎）撰文〕Sony Mobile 於 2013 年 5 月 13 日發表新機 Xperia ZR，該手機規格配置與日本電信商 NTT DoCoMo 稍早曝光的 Xperia A SO-04E 大致相同、支援 4G LTE 網路，並通過比以往更為強悍的 IP55、IP58 防塵防水認證，能在淡水 1.5 公尺處持續 30 分鐘，並可以利用實體快門鍵在水中捕捉畫面。
