〔記者陳鈞凱／台北報導〕公共場所今年元月起公告應設置俗稱「傻瓜電擊器」的「自動體外心臟電擊去顫器（AED）」，目前全台已有3514台AED在車站、運動中心、百貨等地搶救生命，根據衛生署統計，新政策上路迄今，已有十名心跳突停病患使用AED，其中成功救回8人生命，包括一名婦產科醫師以及參加跨年晚會被人潮擠暈的男大學生。
