〔記者郭政隆／嘉義報導〕嘉義市公園派出所所長洪茂發與警員高振偉於日前執行深夜巡邏勤務時，接獲民眾110電話通報指稱，位於嘉義市東區大雅路二段嘉義高中旁有人坐輪椅受困大馬路上，由於馬路是斜坡，而急需警方協助；經員警趕到現場後，發現確實有一名男子因腳受傷而受困坐在輪椅上，並對員警露出相當無奈的眼神，且向員警說明是因腳傷前往嘉義聖馬爾定醫院就醫後欲返家，因身旁無任何照護者，只好向醫院商借輪椅，獨自坐輪椅踱步緩慢的自己推回家，然因回家路途較遠致體力耗盡，才逗留在嘉義市東區大雅路的大馬路上，因該路段係聯外主要道路，各種車輛速度皆相當快，險象環生，一稍有不慎恐生意外，員警見狀，立刻打開巡邏燈及暫停燈停在該男子身後，警示過往行經車輛，以防人車發生危險。
