〔大陸新聞中心／綜合報導〕數十年來科學家一直在「監聽」宇宙中可能出現的不明信號，迄今為止只發現了一個非常誘人的信號源，在1977年8月，科學家傑里使用SETI專案的巨耳射電望遠鏡發現了持續時間為72秒的神秘信號，當時傑里認為該信號不可能來自已知的天體現象，信號源也位於太陽系之外，因此這次窄頻無線電訊號可能為外星智慧生物通訊的線索，傑里在電腦列印的信號紙上寫下了「哇！」（ Wow!），成為了著名的Wow!信號。
