〔記者王榮貴／新竹報導〕新竹市議會15日進行單位業務質詢，質詢的每位市議員都提到食品安全問題，要求市府一定要全面性加強檢驗，讓老百姓安心食用。衛生局長洪士奇表示，許明財市長非常重視食品安全問題，新竹市七家麻油廠及分裝廠經檢驗後均合格，依規下架的食品也要求賣場全數下架，同時會定期或不定期抽查，而食品工業研究所也願意協助市府進行檢驗工作。
