轟垮中國男雙！　莊智淵陳建安勇奪台灣史上世錦賽首金

前一天才打敗中國王勵勤／周雨後，台灣「新黃金雙打」莊智淵／陳建安再接再勵於世界桌球個人錦標賽男雙決賽中，再度以4比2打垮另一組中國雙打組合馬琳／郝帥，為台灣打下史上首面桌球世錦賽金牌。
 
莊智淵／陳建安雖然先在首局以9比11落後，但兩人接著在12比10、11比6扳回2局，在最關鍵的第4局，莊／陳一度以7比3領先，但被連趕至10平，莊／陳追回2個局點後，在11比11平手後連得2分，拿下關鍵1局；在最後第6局，莊／陳在一路領先下，由中國郝帥抽球掛網，助莊／陳以11比8拿下最後一局奪金，莊／陳的成績也超越了1993年中國歸化台將的陳靜奪得的女單銀牌。
