〔記者逄緯喆／高雄報導〕高雄土生土長的桌球王子莊智淵，日前為台灣奪得世界桌球錦標賽首面金牌，高雄市政府特別將20萬元的體育獎金，加碼至40萬元，市長陳菊今5月22日親自前往頒贈祝賀，她說，莊智淵是高雄之光、台灣榮耀，不凡表現全體市民與有榮焉，市府會持續檢討獎金制度，也期盼企業認養支持桌壇，栽培更多優秀小將。
