〔生活中心／綜合報導〕骨關節炎是一種慢性關節疾病，又稱為退化性骨關節病，主要病徵為關節軟骨退化，而臨床上更可細分為骨關節炎、類風濕性關節炎、痛風性關節炎、細菌性關節炎等等，雖然不致命，但對生活品質產生極大的影響。研究顯示4-5%的成人殘廢是由骨關節炎引起，且更是50歲以上殘廢的第二常見原因，世界衛生組織（WHO）甚至把它定為「致殘率」最高的疾病。
