〔記者黃村杉／新北報導〕農曆七月中元節為國人傳統的宗教活動，新北市環保局為了尊重民間傳統習俗，同時又希望改善焚燒紙錢所造成的環境負擔，自8月7日至9月4日期間，特別架設中元環保普渡專屬網站(網址: http://pollution.epd.ntpc.gov.tw/102pudu)，鼓勵市民「中元紙錢集中燒、網路普渡更環保」，網站內容包含網路普渡、愛心普渡活動，以及紙錢集中燒、習俗由來、鬼月禁忌等資訊，將傳統禮俗與現代科技結合，參加網路普渡、愛心普渡的民眾，還有機會獲得經過資深法師加持的限量「小神衣」，保平安又保健康。
