〔記者陳木隆／宜蘭報導〕日前有登山客在跑馬古道登山時，赫然發現1隻瀕死掙扎中的鼬獾！礁溪鄉公所農經課據報派獸醫前往處理，鼬獾已經死亡，隨即將屍體送往宜蘭縣動植物防疫所轉家畜衛生試驗所檢驗，已確認沒有狂犬病源。礁溪鄉公所完成第一波犬貓狂犬病預防注射後，又排定8月19日至27日至龍潭村等村里實施預防注射。
