〔記者郭政隆／嘉義報導〕世界展望會從2009年11月起，在全球發起為期5年的倡導行動──「兒童健康‧立刻行動」，三年來，全球每年5歲以下兒童死亡數目從2009年的880萬降低到2012年的690萬，首度降低到700萬人以下，然而這數字仍令人擔憂─代表每天約有19,000名5歲以下兒童死亡，讓這些兒童死亡的主要原因皆是可肺炎、腹瀉、瘧疾、產前與生產時併發症這些可被治療與預防疾病。
