〔記者陳榮昌／台中報導〕大甲文昌祠候車亭，從一座不受歡迎的公車招呼站，迄今蛻變為全市首座特色候車亭。從大甲往返大安區的乘座區民都說，乘公車方便，設備亦古香古色，十分漂亮。市議員吳敏濟表示，這座候車亭歷經遷址、挨罵、協調及設計，最後雖使用文昌祠土地，始令大家都滿意的結果。這座候車亭兼具地區天候需求及景觀特色，深深得到乘客及觀光客的歡迎。
