〔記者黃玿琮／台中報導〕東勢林場連外道路拓寬工程31日在東勢區宏覺寺舉行，此次拓寬指標2公里800公尺至5公里800公尺路段，將拓寬為10米寬路面，土地徵收費共3900萬元，工程費1億2000多萬元；預計明年7月完工，拓寬後除改善沿線居民農產運輸外，更可帶動地方觀光發展，促進地方繁榮。
