〔記者陳榮昌／台中報導〕通宵鎮邱菊花34年前與大甲區陳錦昌結婚，菊花對家事全包外，還盡心盡力侍奉九十餘歲的公婆，致老人家身體得以康健，她任勞任怨扶持這個家，深得公婆稱許，更獲鄰里好評，堪為婦女界表率，在台中市政府推薦下，膺選今年全國孝行楷模，訂7月19日接受內政部表揚殊榮。
