〔記者林重鎣／台中報導〕只聞樓梯響，未見人下來；市府以二億四千萬元，重建太平區光興隆橋，並把欄杆作夜間景觀亮點，成為太平新地標，但遲遲未動工，居民等的不耐煩，18日數百居民集聚在橋頭抗議，要求早日動工，同時設便橋，施工期間方便兩地數萬居民的通行。
