〔 地方中心／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣遭受蘇力颱風肆虐嚴重，立委徐耀昌18日上午，再次邀集經濟部水利署副署長王瑞德、第二河川局長呂學修等，前往頭份、南庄、三灣、獅潭、大湖等地勘災。頭份鎮長徐定禎帶領相關人員，到中港溪東興橋勘查兩岸堤防，因受川流急水沖毀的河堤護岸，隨後也勘查水牛段堤防等，對具防禦性的河川堤防多次沖毀，地方民眾紛盼望能早日修護完成，以保障河堤兩岸居民的生命財產安全。
