〔記者黃志政／台中報導〕臺中捷運烏日-文心-北屯線(臺中捷運綠線)電聯車已由日本電聯車製造商川崎重工完成車輛之設計，外觀以「新芽綻放」為設計概念，車頭以流線呈現，刻劃出輕快的印象，車身以不銹鋼原色，搭配車窗及綠色飾條，使電聯車更具現代感。
