潭美風雨轉強　花蓮和中部落撤五百人

【李光濱／花蓮報導】受潭美颱風雨勢漸強影響，花蓮縣秀林鄉和平村和中部落下午三時許進行預防性撤村，村內傳來撤村廣播，村民紛紛打包行李，開車、騎騎車暫時撤離家園，一名林姓（73歲）中風老人由軍方阿兵哥及消防人員協助以擔架送上救護車。

秀林鄉長許淑銀表示，上次蘇拉颱風野溪暴漲造成和中部落發生嚴重土石流，村民房子被淹沒，擔心土石流帶來災情，趁著風雨來臨前撤離五百多位村民「一個都不能少！」
