〔生活中心／綜合報導〕獨居的張爺爺（化名）自30多年前罹患類風濕性關節炎，因長期服用類固醇，在3年內腰椎因骨鬆骨折開刀了兩次，行動力大不如前，在生活上必須仰賴鄰居和社工的幫忙，總是有一餐沒一餐，並倚靠老人年金度日。針對像張爺爺這類因長期使用類固醇導致骨質疏鬆的民眾，健保局將自2013年8月1日起開放給付年針型的雙磷酸鹽類藥物，期盼透過一年一次的治療，能讓他們恢復昔日骨力強健的身體。
