教宗請辭　台灣地區主教團主席：震驚

天主教教宗本篤16世(Pope Benedict XVI)，將於本月28日辭去教宗職務，成為數百年來首位在世辭職的教宗。消息傳出，舉世震驚。中央社報導， 天主教台灣地區主教團主席洪山川今天說，教宗辭職，半世紀以來不曾有過，他對此事感到訝異、震驚。

洪山川表示，他是透過媒體得知這項消息。如果教宗真的請辭，是歷史上少有情況，「至少半個世紀以來不曾有過」，歷任教宗幾乎都是任職到生命最後一刻，很少存在現任、卸任兩名教宗情況。

中央社報導，洪山川強調，本篤16世任教宗前，就是令人景仰的神學家，「是一名很認真的學者」他目前正透過管道了解情況，猜測教宗可能是因年事已高，工作勞累，身體不堪負荷。他觀察教宗最近身體狀況，教宗的動作，比起2005年剛上任時，是遲緩許多，「但是他的腦筋還是很清楚。」
