85歲的羅馬教宗本篤16世（Pope Benedict XVI），今天意外宣布因年老將於本月底退位後，德國政府表示，對這位德裔教宗的舉止深受感動。

「中央社」報導，德國政府發言人塞柏特（Steffen Seibert）在官方例行新聞記者會上表示，「身為基督教徒和天主教徒，每個人都會為這件事而深受感動」、「對教宗的所作所為，以及他一生對天主教會的奉獻，德國政府謹對教宗致上最高敬意」。
