〔記者逄緯喆／高雄報導〕每年8月30日是國際鯨鯊日，由墨西哥鯨鯊國際會議在2008 年訂定，希望藉由認識鯨鯊、保護鯨鯊及保育教育達到鯨鯊永續生存之目的並且喚醒全球對海洋生態保護的覺醒與行動力。2013鯨鯊保育公車活動將高雄列為全球首站，由高雄市政府、Wildlife21與關懷生命協會共同主辦，並由一群德國波昂國際中學及高雄義大國際中學熱情的中學生共同參與，他們來自德國、英國、比利時、義大利、荷蘭、玻利維亞、韓國及台灣。
